Portal

Back in September of 2010 or so I downloaded Portal from steam for the low, low price of FREE! I guess since it was a new game they were offering it at a discount. I played it for a few days and started to forget about it. I don't know why it for some reason didn't fascinate me right away.

Well just a few hours I logged into steam which I haven't been on for a long, long time and noticed it right there; Portal. So I launch the program and have been playing it for the past 5 hours! HAHA

It's an interesting strategy game, I find it some what fun and addicting. I just though I would take a break from playing to write a little post here on my blog! For more little posts; please subscribe to my blog by email in the top right side bar. I just recently started my blog and I would appreciate it if you would please do that favor for me! Thanks!

Star Trek: The Next Generation; Thine Own Self - Episode Review & Summery

So the other day I watched the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called "Thine Own Self." This was actually a good episode, most likely because it featured data as the main character though-out the story. Diana Troi, Enterprise counselor, is also battling her way to try to become promoted to Commander. She must pass her Bridge Offers Test in order to become promoted. As she is testing she goes though a test on the holodeck that she continues to fail. The test is one of engineering. There was no way she could solve the problem and save the enterprise unless she ordered Jordi to find a conduit although it was an order to death due to a radiation leak.

Aside from all of this commotion with "Commander Troi" the main conflict in the episode is with Data. He had gone in a shuttle craft to clean up the remains of a small ship that is now releasing radiation. In his efforts to clean up the mess and recover the parts he is some how damaged and crashes on a stranded planet with a pre-industrial society. He also suffers a memory loss.

Data examining a pendent that was made from the metal that he brought down to the planet along with him.

Data greets the people of the town with an unknown object in his hands. The towns people and Data are curious as to what could be inside so they open it up and to their surprise it was some metal. So the blacksmith of the town buys it off of Data and he create some fine jewelry out of it. So the metal gets spread around this town.

People begin to feel sick in the town. Data attempts to figure out what is causing the outbreaks of illness. The only problem is that the towns people believe that it is Data himself that has brought the plague.

Data soon discovers that their were particles emitting from the metal that he had brought with him. He soon develops a cure for the, later to be found out, radiation poising. He was able to dump some of it into the towns water well so they would all be cured but the towns people thought that he was doing something bad. One of them stabs Data rendering Data immobile and severely damaged. Days later Will and Beverly transport down and find that Data has been buried. He is beamed back aboard the Enterprise and repaired.

Overall it was a great episode. I myself enjoy the episodes that involve Data as he is my favorite character! Hopefully you enjoyed my summary and review of this episode! I absolutely abhor name wasters...

I only bring this up because I recently ran in to a few name waster pages as I was trying to find out which user name I would be able to use for this blog. There were at least 10 other names that I had though of instead of using My Teen Tech Blog. I am not disappointed in my current blog name; just annoyed at people who sigh up with a popular blog title but never put the time into the blog to make it interesting and live up to its name.

Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever wanted to sign up for YouTube but couldn't find a user name that you want due to people wasting names? Its happened to me, way more often then it should. I guess I can understand that some people think they are going to use the site but end up not but I think that the companies such as YouTube and Blogger (Ha Ha - Same Company) should implement a way that old unused account could be terminated or requested. I'm not sure if a feature like that will ever become available but it would sure be nice!

Well I hope that you find my thoughts interesting. As you can see I am just starting out this blog so I am still thinking of ideas on what content to post. So far a have a few ideas but I need all of your help to spread the news of my blog!

Thanks For Reading!

About Me! About My Teen Tech Blog

Hello everyone. I am currently a sophomore (Woot, just finished sophomore year, I am not officially a Junior!) at high school. I will be graduating in the year 2013. At my high school I am the president of the Computer Club. Although I am still young I have a very strong passion for technology that I would greatly enjoy sharing with the rest of the world. My current (as of January 2010) favorite fields of the technology world are Computer Networking as well as the amazing thing we call Internet! Hopefully with me sharing on this blog you will become more knowledgeable in these areas but also learn a neat trick or two!

What will you see on my blog?
Here on My Teen Tech Blog you will see a variety of different posts about many different subjects but mainly surrounding technology. As I go through-out my daily life I will post anything interesting that I stumble upon through-out the day.
